Judy Bentinck
Judy Bentinck's clients attend events as diverse as royal garden parties, investitures, race days, and weddings. Her hat designs strike a balance between contemporary design and couture skills, producing exclusive hats for bespoke or ready-to-wear collections. She has over 25 years of experience in creating special occasion headwear.
After an initial career in theatre costume design, Judy trained in the craft of couture millinery with Rose Cory, Royal Warrant holder. Having gained a thorough appreciation of true craftsmanship, well-balanced design, and exquisite detailing, Judy established her eponymous brand in 2002 and has built a loyal following that includes both celebrities and royalty.
Judy teaches professional millinery skills in her studio and at Central St Martin's, UAL. She has also demonstrated at the British Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Museum of London.
Judy's informative book "Designing and Making Hats and Headpieces" is an easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide to many key millinery techniques.
